The development of Competitive Retrievers

The behaviors we ask for in the competitive retriever world are complex and ever changing. That is why Wild Brooks Retrievers believes in being “for the dog”, constantly asking ourselves “What is the dog thinking and feeling?”. While there are many great aversive training tools, the goal of Wild Brooks Retrievers is to focus on shaping behaviors in a positive light that allows these tools to not be the center piece of our training. We want to be truly balanced trainers. While we hold our young dogs to a high standard, WBR takes every opportunity to build these animals up physically, emotional, and mentally. We desire to produce a foundation that encourages style and momentum that allows the retriever to enjoy their career for many many years.
